Having successfully raised £280k through crowd funding we have opened our Poole Hill Brewery producing our award winning ales in the heart of Bournemouth. We are now entering the next phase of our business; building the Southbourrne Ales and Tingay’s brands. In order to do this we are looking to invest in marketing, sales and with additional funds opening a chain of small Tingay’s branded bars in some of the countries busiest metropolises. To fund this we are releasing equity in our fourth round of crowd funding to raise up to £200k. Our Investment events give you the opportunity to see what we have achieved so far, discuss our plans and see if joining the Southbourne Brewing Limited owners club is right for you.
For updates on weekly, monthly and special events happening at Poole Hill Brewery check out the new events page.
This will be updated with new special events when they are announced. For starters you can book on to the Father Day Brewery Tour and visit us at Wimborne Folk Festival on the 9th, 10th and 11th of June.
Don’t forget the Quiz is on the last Wednesday of every month so you can exercise the little grey cells tomorrow night at 8pm.
We are pleased to inform everyone that tours are available daily at Poole Hill Brewery from 12pm to 4pm on the hour.
Tours will last for approximately 55 minutes and cost £10 per adult (£1 per child).
Booking is advised, using the main telephone number 01202 557583, but ‘walk-ins’ are also accepted, depending on the size of the current booked tour group.
Tours will be running throughout the year, which will include a visitor centre (once up and running), brewery information and time within the Victorian-inspired taproom so that our brilliant beers can be sampled.
Due to the state of the roads and pavements the tap room has decided to remain closed today (Friday 2nd March). We will continue to monitor the situation and update you all as soon as we know the situation going forwards.
Thank you for your continued support.

A Southbourne resident and brewer has decided that is it time Bournemouth had its own ale. Jennifer Tingay, formerly of Ringwood Brewery and now brewer at Town Mill Brewery in Lyme Regis, has recently formed her new company Southbourne Brewing Limited. Jennifer, 37, shall be brewing trial brews at spare capacity down in Lyme, holding meet the brewer evenings at venues across Bournemouth and looking for crowd funding through selling beer vouchers in 2016. Jennifer says,
Southbourne is an excellent location for a new brewery, which in the long term I hope will provide a wide range of employment opportunities for the areas school leavers, promote the local economy and add a new tourist destination in the town.
